PATHfinder Real-Time PCR kits are primary tools for modern food and water quality and safety testing. The kits detect in different sample the presence and the identity of microrganisms through their DNA.The kits are developed according to the norms ISO 22119, ISO 20838, ISO 16140 hence they include an internal amplification control, a positive and a negative control. This standard solution was prepared first extracting the DNA from a colture of Legionella pneumofila serogroup 1 nd then quantifing the genome copies via ddPCR. When coupled to any PATHfinder kit for Legionella detection, it allows plotting a calibration curve and in turn quantifying the level of contamination of an unknown sample. (FR)
