Buffered Charcoal Yeast Extract (BCYE) Agar is the base medium that after the addition of different supplements mixes (MWY, GVPC or BCYE) provide a selective culture medium for the isolation and counting of Legionella spp. in water samples from various sources (water for human consumption, industrial wastewater, wastewater, thermal and mineral water) and in environmental samples. Medium formula reflects indications of ISO 11731, while production and quality control are operated according to ISO 11133. (FR)
